Nothing Much is Happening

This is why I haven’t been posting. Life has become pretty regular. I work. I buy food and then cook it. We eat. Sleep. Read. Watch football (soccer) or PBS. We hang out with friends. We take walks in the woods and down to the sea, but I’ve already posted about those things.

I was trying to think of something fun and interesting to post and looked through my most recent photos. I thought it would be funny to share them with you and explain what they are.

We got library cards. I checked out some kid’s books thinking they would be a fun way to practice and improve my Polish. Franklin was a surprisingly difficult read. Muminki i Duza Powodz was way beyond my abilities.

I took this photo of an empty mustard jar before going to the grocery. It was yummy mustard, but I wanted to try a different flavor. Even after “memorizing” the word “Ostra” (it means “sharp) I didn’t trust myself to not buy the exact same kind, so I took a picture.

This is a screenshot of a Google translation of the instructions of a package of pudding purchased accidentally. I don’t usually make pudding, and then I don’t usually make the kind you have to cook. I’m planning to make it today.

And that’s it. So, you can see that even though I’m living the good life, in a modern and wonderful country, my life is rather boring. I’ll try to go on some adventures, so I have something to post about.

Also, I’ve been working on Outlandish, my ridiculous Scottish mystery-romance, which has been hard going. The book is finished but the clean-up has been hard. I’m hoping to have it published by this summer or fall. We’ll see….
